No, you won't be able to use any homebrew on an official Sony 3.03 firmware. You need custom firmware 3.03 OE-C or 3.10 OE-A', depends on where you live and what you want to do with your PSP.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

@Eisherz, I was talking about the custom firmware.
I have a JAP version of the PSP. I'll look around the old websites I used to use when I used umdemulator, fastloader etc for the files needed.
Thanks.

Actually guys, i'm not interested in the new features of the latest firmware.
I was gonna upgrade purely to play PSX and the other newer titles.
Is there a way of doing this WITHOUT upgrading and just using a loader that emulates the latest firmware?
What do you think the best option is?
Again I have a JAP v1.5
Thanks again

ONLY TWO options are upgrading to custom firmware ( OE ), or buying a PS3, buying the PSX Game on the playstation network, and then transferring to PSP.

Ok hexitnow just one more question!
What is the most reliable custom firmware?
A few of the ISO I have are ripped and not the untouched ISO.
Which version is least likely to give me issues?
Have you any personal experience with them?

I personally like 3.03 OE-C....I haven't had any notable troubles with my backup's and I have quite a few.
