i am really new to the homebrew scene as i just started trying to run iso's last night and im having a few problems... my psp is running firmware version 2.71 and i really dont want to downgrade as i have no clue as to what i am doing. i know these types of questions have been asked multiple times before but could someone please help me out and tell me if this is possible and if so, how to run the files

You have to downgrade I believe to play ISO's. It is very simple!
