hi

first of all i dunno if i am supposed 2 be posting this here because its my first ever post on afterdawn :D

anyways i have a problem with my ps2, ive been using swap magic boot discs for about two years now and everything has been fine but now whenever i put in an original PS2 game and go to the browser screen it says "reading disc" but nothing happens, "reading disc" just stays there. i no the laser is ok because the swap magic discs work and backup games work perfect :S
oh yh and if i boot the originals with swap magic they work so somethings not write.

could just need to clean your laser
or possibly ajust it. Originals should read better than back ups or Swap Magic.

ok thanks for the help, ill clean it with a cotton bud but do i need to use some sort of cleaning fluid or can i just wipe it dry??
by the way swap magic has stopped being read aswell and when i put in PSX games they make loud scary grinding noises lol

This happened to me with the fat ps2. But didnt use Swap magic then. I put in an original and it just says disc reading. So what i done was I opened it up and smashed it, then bought a slimline. Problem solved.

u smashed it up? y dint u put it on eBay and get some money for it :D
anyways if u cleaned the laser it would have fixed it cause mine is working better now, but it still doesnt read PSX games because of that grinding noise!!!
