Had no problem backing up with DVD Shrink, also the prestige with dvd fab and shrink

Well, I wouldn't say nothing special just not impossible. "The Prestige", Though many will belly ache with the usual "Know How"? issues. I was able to back up this title for travel using AnyDVD 6.1.1.4 & CloneDVD2 2.9.0.3:p

Media is a Data DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)

I got the same above except for one item. "Changed firstplay: jump directly to Title 8!" I didnt get this. I got the following..

Yep...Correct!!! Hey I purchased "Children of Men" on DVD a few weeks ago from Amazon.UK and as shown below the disc is in PAL format instead of US NTSC. Now this is no problem if I were to view this title on my PC only but I decided to try out a feature found in Nero "Make Your Own DVD-VIDEO" which allows you to convert PAL format to NTSC minus the menu & extras. The feature worked fine. I was impressed.:P

So is jumping to the main title working consistently. I was always under the impression that the feature wouldn't consistently work and cause some movies not to play?

Yeah, it's still a little unstable but Slysoft has posted in recent updates improved performance for this feature. I use it mainly to avoid the typical long and unwanted trailers found on most major DVD releases. What happens primarily when jumping direct to main title, this feature sometime fails to execute and will not take you to the main movie but instead to the title menu.:P

Exactly.
What I have found out, that on Lionsgate films, this option doesn't work most of the time. I actually have AnyDVD "clicked" for first play jump to the chapter menu. Interesting though you say clicking the jump to main movie takes you to the chapter menu....I may have to try that. Thanks for the info.

I have the AnyDVD 6.1.1.4
I looked and i dont have the box checked off to remove annoying adverts and trailers. Its under the section "video dvd." So my question is do i have the settings you guys say i do? I believe not. Let me know im curious.
Ask me i can answer to mostly anything...

If you have the latest version of AnyDVD you will find that feature under the Video DVD section.

That would be why. If you change the setting to 'remove annoying trailers & adverts' and 'jump to main menu' yours would look the same.
You'll get the warning about may make dvd unplayable but I haven't run across one in awhile where that happened with this option on.
Once in while it may just start at the movie instead.

Since slysoft has introduced that feature (jumping directly to menu or main title), only twice has the disc been unplayable for me. Twice. Considering how long ago this feature debuted, and how many damn movies I buy, that is an incredible success rate.
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

Yeah I agree with Mr Pink. I have AnyDVD set to jump directly to the title movie and remove all the junk. I very seldom have a problem with it. And it's sooo nice to put the dvd in and have it play without doing anything else. For me with Recode movie only option all I get is the movie and the ability to jump between chapters; nothing else no menus thus less compression.
