not anymore it isn't. U only have to run one extra program......and you dont even have to do that with all the downgraders. Some check for ta-082 and automatically patch idstorage.

Give what a break. Giving the right information out. It really pisses me off when people make retarded posts like this one HERE, then try to help someone concerning TA-082/downgrading, and don't have a DAMN clue about what they're talking about.

@gerikoh
Use my recovery winstaller (link in my sig), to install recovery files on your psp and recover back to 1.50/3.03 OE-C/3.10 OE-A.

guys i've successfully downgrade my psp 2.71 ta-082 to 1.5. question is is ther any difference between a 1.5 and a 1.5 downgraded from 2.71 ta-082?

different motherboards and that's about it. u can do anything a 1.5 can do now. Just dont try to upgrade to 3.10+ official firmware, you might brick. 3.10+ OE-A Custom Firmware is ok tho.

@gerikoh
i dont know what ur trying to do.

@kayamokid
yes u would have to do the updates in increment's. Sum aren't like that tho. 3.03 OE-C for instance has to be freshly installed so it can be installed from 3.02 OE-A. If I were you I would however go with 3.03 Oe-C. Check the link in my sig for sum of my winstallers.

i'm trying to update my 1.5 to 3.03oe-b, but unfortunately there is a step there about the 3.03 recoverer that became an issue to me because the link that kealvalro posted is not available, now i'm planning to search for alternatives so i'm asking the 3.03 recoverer file or the updated hyperlink w/c contains the file that he mentioned. or is it still safe not to use the 3.03 recoverer upon upgrading 1.5 to 3.03oe-b?

I swapped my PSP for a 2.71 ta-082

You can really do anything with that PSP, it just requires one extra step, or 2 rather, which requires you to overflow the psp in the photo menu, then run the storage change. EZ stuff

I find 3.03 oe-c really good for anything you might want to do. Playing cso/iso is a snap, and ps1 games can be played, and compressed as well.
