Multiplayer on 3.03 OEC? Is it possible?

Hi I recently downgraded my PSP 3.03 and now im using 3.03 OEC. Im successful in playing ISO through my memory stick but I would like to know how can I play a Multiplayer games? Well I can see option of multiplayer in the game menu, but im not sure if going online will make my psp something wrong since its downgrading and im sure Sony doesnt like that. Do you guys know if it is safe to go Multiplayer while having a custom firmware? Also how exactly does one play Multiplayer and what is the best way? Well im always intrested and curious when I think about Multiplayer since I never tried before.
Well by the way I got a 7MBPS wireless internet connection.
