Hi everyone, I have a problem with a second hand dbox2 which I recently bought. It powers up and displays the image screen, then it goes onto another screen with small text on, then at this point it will switch off completely. Same point every time.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Is it a software problem?
Cheers,
Andy

DON'T PANIC!!.I had the same problem exactly with my SAGEM DBOX X2.The screen saver would come on then just before it should boot in ..it would turn itself off every time. This started happening after i tinkered with the settings so if you don't know what you're doing...leave it.I re-flashed the box with the commando 6 image and it's been fine since.

hi fekker

i need to know what files in the dbox relates to the remote control.

i have a good image but the premiere remote control does not work.

the remote works with other commando 6 images but its too slow.

so are there any files in the dbox that i can replace to make the remote work.

thaks

Just an update and request for help!....

Have tried flashing an image but the Dbox2 doesn't seem to be able to communicate with the pc at all. I press the 'up' arrow on the dbox when switched on to put it in debug mode, but the display just stays on this regardless of what I do on the pc.
I haven't used a nullmodem cable though, should this make a difference?

Any help appreciated!

Without a nullmodem cable you don't see whats going on at the box.
Buy a nullmodem cable via ebay.
