Hi Everyone!
I'm new and was wondering if someone could so nice and help me.
I'm having a problem with after I go through the whole process and it says it's done I put the newly burned disc in my player and I get a message that it can't read it. I tried my neighbor's player and it does the same thing but it will play on her computer. Help me please. Thanks in advance

May try a couple of these:

If you're using DVD Shrink, make sure your dvd is bookmarked as a DVD-ROM. This is located under the Quality Settings when you go to backup a movie. May help make your discs more compatible with standalone players

Also, may be a media problem. If your dvd player is an older model, it may only play specific types of DVD, either -R or +R. May check your owner's manual.

Also, what type of DVDs are you using? Media brand can play a big factor in several error situations.

May try these few and see if it works. Good Luck!

Almost always a media quality issue. Check here http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm for more info and recommendations.

What's the brand name and model # of your DVD-RW drive?

Post back that burner info so we can see if your burner has bitsetting capability to booktype the plus format to dvd-rom,which should fix your compatability issue.

Also post back the brand name, format, and speed rate of your blank media.

If you haven't got bitset capability, then try the opposite format and make sure it's quality stuff like Verbatim or Taiyo yuden. Crap media can also give players fits-which a No Disc inserted error is 1 of them.

You're double posting the same topic. You even used the same text.

Note you got similar responses to what I gave you in the other thread.

What format is the recordable media and what formats are supported by the standalone player? Then you get into such things as recording errors where the disc doesn't get finalized. For media compatibility those with burners that support booktyping (bitsetting), they booktype the DVD +R formats to DVD ROM (the universal player format).

You didn't mention what program you were using to write the disc.
There is also a possibility that the program you are using isn't
finalizing the disc. In that case it would play on a computer, but
not a stand alone.
The other information given you is likely to be the cause. Just
thought I would mention this in case.

Glad to see you agree with me.

Nero can produce a burn log. Record your output to the hard drive, and then use Nero Express or Burning ROM (whichever you're comfortable with) to burn the video. Save the log and post it.
