I fear a virus. I have the same "virus/changed" result, too. Has anyone firued out this problem? I believe the "change" has happened from installing an "ad-ware" file and then removing it. It was removed b/c I had to pay to use it. My p.c. doesn't crash, but it runs very slow at times. Could a reg. cleaner cause this? THANK U!

Next, can you download, Spybot Search&Destroy, Ad-Aware and CCleaner, from this site: http://majorgeeks.com

Next, update them in normal mode and then boot into safe mode, and run each program individually, and allow them to fix whatever they pick up.

Also, do you have AVG Anti Spyware? If you don't, please download it from the site above and update, and then run it in safe mode too.

Please, once all of that is done, run HjT again and post your logfile here again.

Do not run more than one malware program at the same time!

Reboot into normal mode once everything is finished, and run kaspersky online scan, and post your log. (http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner)

Do you mean "Ad-Aware"? Because Ad-Aware SE is completly free, and that's the one I want you to download and run in safe mode.

Post back if you have any other questions or problems!
