ive backed up these to games and wasted about 6 dvds and have burned at different speed but the same problem always there!
for need for speed carbon it will load up until im in the race and while im racing, part of the track is just not there and when i get to there it starts loading which is annoying! and with the sims 2 while im running around the person will just freeze where he is for about 5 seconds and it will sound like the ps2 is loading it!
im using swap magic 3.6 to boot them and im using Verbatim DVD-R buring at 2X speed, these discs work perfect for all my other games and also these two games are EA games, ive heard people have had trouble with EA games and swap magic? all i wanna no is, is there any way to make them work?

Thanks

I had same probs with NFSC but mine on rubbish media(ran out of good ones) I used Datawrite yellow -R,DVD Decyrpter and burned at 4x. Using swap magic 3.6 so far no problem. you can use zoneloader prog after booting swap magic just search for it helps with a few games

the special boot can sometimes let you boot up problem games
i was able to do a straught copy using dvd decryptor and burned at 4x on datawrite yellow. I'm thinking maybe with the fat ps2 they have to be rebuilt, but i may be wrong. have you tried different media

Taiyo Yuden 8X DVD-R all the way for me. But i always buy the real thing, the TYG02 Silver Thermal Laquer premium line.
burning them at 4X with DVD Decrypter or IMGburn

Verbatim are also good.
Supermediastore.com is about the best online site in the USA to buy them.

OK i finally burnt nfs carbon onto a ritek DVD-R and it works better, but in the races bits of the track are still missing but they load just before i get to them, i burnt at 4X on 8X Ritek DVD-R using DVD Decrypter, i was wondering will it work better if i burnt at 2X?

4X should work, that is what i burned mine at on an 8X Taiyo Yuden DVD-R and mine has no problems. Does your PS2 have problems like this with outher fast paces games like GTA or GT4?
If so it could be that the laser needs cleaning or adjusting.

hmm..

that reminds me, when i play gta, sometimes i get to a part of the road before its loaded so it looks all blury but it doesnt crash or start loading like nfs, and also i cleaned my laser a few weeks ago so i dunno what the prob is.

(by the way, what happens if i burnt it at 2X?)
