Batch converting, single converting?

A short and stupid question. When converting AVI to DVD, does all the video (anime episodes) I want to convert have to be converted at the same time or is it okay to convert them separately (ie. with intervals in between so the computer can be shut down).

I was wondering because my computer won't be free long enough to allow me to convert 5 episodes at a time. Other users will need it too.

If they are separate, then Yes there is no difference.
