OK, I've got Halo 2 on my hard disk and everything plays fine... next question tho.... why do other players see default characters behind my name in a lobby??? does anyone know how to get these bad boys off my name??? any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

no, not the word... the symbol. it is in the background where your team color/your color appears...

you probably signed into the default player profile, you can create your own and change it in the appearance part of the settings menu.

no, its not my icon (the symbol beside my name) it is behind my name... and i'm fairly sure it only occurs if you are playing off your hard drive

it has something to do with xbox live. Like if you got it before or after the AutoUpdate then they will see it or something.
