well, i might be buying an xbox 360 soon (within the next week or two) and was just thinking or whatever...

say i have £540;

the xbox costs £280
the games are £40 each - say i buy crackdown and some war game or something, that is £80.
that leaves £180, now say i get £100, that is £280.

so to got with the xbox in need a new tv (only around 24-26")

and then to play online i need to go wireless - thats another £60.

so, can anybody suggest any ideas on how to deal with this. like good cheap tvs and a cheap wireless adapter, just to bring the price down a bit...

for tvs - try ebay or craigslist

for the wireless adapter- get the "Logitech Play Link". I bought that for like $40 and pretty much fuctions the same thing as the Official Microsoft Wireless Networking Adapter. Save yourself money and dont buy microsoft's rip-off adapter. I have the logitech play link and wireless runs perfectly(altgouh its maximum range is 100ft).

for games- well if you dont wanna spend alot of money on games, u can buy a premodded console (from craigslist or search on google).....

cool, i'll look into the Logitech Play Link thing - sound good.

and unfortunately every DVD burner in my house only burn single layer DVDs - not too sure, i'll need to check.

and deadrain, are you talking about the core one or the normal one?
