Safest Downgrader for 2.5

My friends over today, and he wants to downgrade his psp, its a non TA-082, version 2.5, and since I only have a basic knowledge of downgrading TA-082s, I wanted to know what was the safest downgrader for 2.5, he also has with him, his special non patched GTA:LS
2.6 > 2.71 = 1.5 - 3.02> MY TA-082 MOBO 1.5> 3.02 OE-A > OE-B > 3.10 OE-A > 3.82 M33
3 Days, I advanced from 2.6 homebrew tetris and commercial UMDs to 2.71 Devhook Emulation to 1.5>3.02 OE-A, Its the golden age of hacking

upgrading to 2.71 and downgrading from there. GTA is not needed when u downgrade from 2.71.

is it or is it not a TA-082? you stated that it is and it isnt =S. "its a non TA-082" version 2.5, "and since I only have a basic knowledge of downgrading TA-082s"

That's ok. And for future reference balkie even with a ta-082 2.71 u can still downgrade without GTA. Just a different downgrader. I have a feeling he knows how to distinguish one from a non tho, considering he has one himself :D

Its not TA-082 motherboard

you have two choices
easy 2.71 downgrader - what i prefer
2.71 update flasher - good but not my fav method
They are both equally good. Easy 2.71 downgrader does not require GTA or HEN-D.
2.71 Update Flasher no GTA either, but does need HEN-D installed.

Eh, for the sake of a non bricked psp, i will not make a movie about 2.5 downgrading then.

yeah the 2.5 method became obsolete ever since the arrival of the 2.71 downgrader without the use of GTA.

I'm using the 2.71 easy downgrader, and they say choose the corresponding drive for the psp, it doesn't give me N: as an option

keep hitting cancel it should eventually bring up a drive selection screen.

ill tell u it works right now from experience. i dont recommend using anything that touches flash without having used it myself.

Alright, Now another problem, the oe-a update maker, its jsut saying extracting and packing 3.03 firmware... and ya the memory is flassing like crazy, and pauses, I remember it doesn't take this long for my psp, is there soemthing wrong?
Its been 5-8 mins
