i have been wondering for a while if there was a way to replace the stock 20gb hard drive. the drive is not locked in anyway so wouldnt it be possible to make an exact copy of the 20gb drive onto a bigger 80gb drive then put it back on the xbox?

It is possible to use a non-standard hard drives as long as there from the Western Digital Scorpio BEVS series. You could implement a bigger hard drive but would only be able to use 20gb as that is the size limit currently on "stock" 360 hard drives www.xbox-scene.com/xbox360-tools/HDDHackr.php<----This site will explain in more detail and let you download the HD tool. Hope this helps :)
