V-dub and Tmpgenc doesn't recognize mpeg-4 v2

Can anyone tell me about the mpeg-4 v2 codec? I have downloaded ripped versions of them in the past (ie. Angel Potion, etc.) but, the really don't work that well. In fact, Angel Potion made some applications a lot worse. Without the codec I am unable to join, edit, or burn these files. Any help or sugestions at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What is the error that VirtualDub shows?

Couldn't locate decompressor for format "mp42" (microsoft high-speed mpeg-4 v2)

VirtualDub requires a video for windows (vfw) compatible codec to decompress video, directshow codecs, such as those used by windows media player, are not suitable.

I have the first bundle, but the second one seems like just what I need. Thanks! The only problem that I have now is downloading the little booger. I use zone alarm and opera, and that page hates both of them. It's only 216kb. I'll just DL somewhere else and toss it onto a floppy. So, I'll find out Sunday if it works.
