I cant seem to get my code 9 to work or flash drive? Please help Me???

I went out and bought a 512mb flasdrive and codebreaker for my son and cannot get it to work for him? I watched the whole video on how to do it? But the problem is, is when it says click on the flashdrive it wont light up!!!! The only things that will light up on screen is the memeory card and the internet globe?? I really dont know what else to do? Can someone please help me out?

never used a flash drive myself. Does the codebreaker official site have a help email or forum? that would be where i started. Never know it could be a bad flashdrive.
