Hiya all,
I hope someone can please help me,
my mate bought a starview box and I flashed it with latest software then compared this to my dreambox, the starview has many more channels than my dreambox
He has all the red hot channels ans spice channel and can get filmflex/ppv if someone in the area is watching/subscribed.

Now on my dreambox, I have box office channel (called live events_ one screens the v*rg*n logo and one is blank, even had epg for ricky hatton fight, but no picture.
Mt dreambox came pre loaded software from Kev the fake, with a disc.
on the disk I have
TOOLS
flash wizard pro
d2d-dox2dreambox
dreambox control centre
dream_up dm500
Ngrag setup-0 (1).7.75

Images
Gemini_Wizzars
dream bouquvetter v1 (1).7
dreambox manager suit
flash wizard_pro

Images
castle 1 (1).05 final db 500
Diorj 0 (1).3 (formally wiggys)
neutrino UK04 modification
Pli image for dm500
Colosseum DM500 1 (1).0max var image
gemini 3 (1).20 max var
Pli flubber all set up and good to go

can any help me sort this box out please, has kev the fake just can't be @rsed to install all of this? or do I need updating
I have all the red hot channels which ask for pin codes but not the unlocked ones else were.
i really want to watch the up and coming Oscar delahoya fight on live events, plus I'm a bit p*ssed that the starview is better than my dreambox

please be gentle with me, I'm a newby to dreambox set ups, Starview only took 2 mins, this looks way to complicated

thanking you all in advance
Johnny

Use this image, it's been reported to get all channels. I take it you got the Dreambox from "Kevin" on ebay?

Flashing a new image will overwrite everything on the box.

I nearly bought one from him myself and was ready to go collect it from him in Larkhall (5 miles from me, though claims he is in Glasgow) until I found out they were fake Dreamboxes so bought a DBox2 from Germany instead. I hope your box lasts longer than some of the other fakes.

There is no need for reflashing.
Simply do a manual scan via the default frequency of your area and enable network scan.

You have to type 2 leading zeros before the default frequency.
For instance 00731 in the frequency field and a network scan via manual scan menue was done from thousands of blokes before you knew what a dreambox is.

or even reflashing or whatever
my original post, as I did quote

'please be gentle with me, I'm a newby to dreambox set ups, Starview only took 2 mins, this looks way to complicated'

I havn't got a clue what I'm doing, thats why I'm on this site,

I am very grateful for all the help I can get, even from the 1000 blokes who knew what a dreambox was before me
