Yes, I believe that that is EXACTLY WHAT I JUST SAID. Lemme check real quick...

Is it brawl? If so then you'll need a DL disk. Otherwise single layer is fine.

Yep, that's what I said alright.

Smash bros is currently the only dual layer game and thus, the only game that needs a dual layer disk to burn it. All other wii games at this time are single layer, and should only be burned to single layer disks.

Ok here is the thing, i've been looking all ocer the place how to do this and since its my first time in all this i get very crossed instructions on how to do it.
-wii ntsc.
-wiikey never updated.
-wii firmware 3.1u.
ok so i have aprently all archives i need meaning 1.9s config and 1.9s wiikey iso's.
now to upgrade the wiikey firmware, i burn them, then? which dvd do i insert first?
and can i upgrade wiikey if my wii firmware is 3.1u? and if its possible. how do i upgrade the the wii firmware from 3.1u to 3.2something using a game disc, which game should i use? because using wi-fi i'll get the new one which seems to be very bad for using backups. And after doing all this which games should i be able to play?
if im posting this on the wrong place (hope im not) please point me in the right direction, i've been reading for a week already and no specific directions, maybe beacause this im triyng to do its really old.

ok so with the d2ckey it mentions that it supports Dual Layer disks, I assume that you can burn 2 iso images onto a DL disk and have 2 games on media? how do i do this tho? adding multiple iso with nero as udf doesnt seem to work (or other variations).

although after reading the thread, I will try imgburn in a mo'

No you can't unless you can come up with some clever dual boot feature, which I'm guessing you can't.

#ggbarnum, I was under the impression that the chip would read the media notice that 2 iso's were on the same disk and allow you to select which game.

Just like how when you dont have a disk and it displays a blank wii or gc disk?

have u tried even>?

No I haven't tried because I don't need too. Regardless of the common sense factor, do you seriously think that if this worked it wouldn't be well documented in numerous forums by now.

#ggbarnum, hence my registration, post and question on this forum.

Considering that the data is written on 2 layers of the disk, reading the master boot record [MBR] of the media would display the contents i.e. the 2 iso images available, allowing you to choose which layer you want to read.

And with the new chipsets being released and developed daily including firmware releases. I am hopeful that this, if not already will be possible.

The problem is pessimistic, condescending and arrogant comments such as yours which are of no use of help to anyone, how can u comment if you have not even tried?!?

My simple question was how to burn 2 images on a DL?

Good day.

verbatim discs burned with ImgBurn at 4x should do the trick for any iso file that is valid.
