Hi.

Are you trying to autoburn with Nero from DVD Shrink? If so what version of Nero are you using? 6.6.1.4 won't work for sure.

I just updated my version of Nero, I didnt think that would be a problem, wow

thanks, I will deinstall it

How do I tell if I am using Nero or Shrink to copy the movie?

how do I copy the movies without using Nero and just use SHRINK?

what version of Nero does work?

thanks for your information,

Hi again.

Use Nero 6 version 6.6.0.18. It's the most stable:
- Uninstall version 6.6.1.4.
- Run the Nero 6 Clean Tool: http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/Nero_6_CleanTool.html
- Install version 6.6.0.18 from the two links below:
Package 1: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe
Package 2: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

DVD Shrink by itself does not burn disks. It can however autolink to Nero, DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn, and a few other programs that will burn the disk. The two most common that were originally included in the Shrink programming are DVD Decrypter and Nero.

Autoburning with Nero is activated by default in DVD Shrink and that's why it appears as a choice in the Backup Target menu in the Backup DVD window after clicking the Backup! icon. If DVD Decrypter and Nero are installed, the following choices should appear in the Backup Target menu:
- Burn with Nero
- Create ISO Image File
- Create ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter
- Create DVD Files: Hard Disk Folder

Selecting Burn with Nero or Create ISO and Burn with DVD Decrypter will both cause Shrink to link to those particular programs and cause them to burn the disk with the options specified under the Burn Settings tab. Selecting Create ISO Image File will result in a DVD image file being saved to your hard disk which can then be burned by any number of burning engines. Selecting Create DVD Files in a Hard Disk Folder will result in just that. These files can then be assembled by some burning engines and the DVD burned.

Here is a link to some guides for backing up DVDs:

I recommend Ripit4me as the best all-around free backup approach.
