so i backed up my Kingdom Hearts to USBEXTREME and it seems to load up well while it boots but once it hits the cut screens.. it starts to sort of lag every 3 seconds and so on.. is it because it is USB 1.0 on the PS2?.. is there a way to fix this ?

There's no way to fix this, I have the same problem with the same game. Mabye someone wil develop a caching system sooner or later.
