HELP,

I am a complete novice I am using DVD Shrink to back up films, when playing the movie and it gets to the layer break point the film skips forward about 5 minutes.

Can anyone help please.

I am using a Pioneer 111D writer and 8.5 GB traxdata disks

You don't state what you're using as your burning application/software, but if it's Nero, it's still not that great at burning to dual layer media (especially with handling the layer break). If you're comfortable with using shrink, one of the best ways to go is to use shrink in combination with imgburn.

Install this version of shrink, it gives you the option to auto-burn the video file (ISO image file) to disk using imgburn.

Now when you click on backup in shrink, choose to create an ISO image file and auto-burn to disk using imgburn.

DVD decrypter does a great job with burning ISO image files to dual layer media as well in ISO write mode.
