It started it anyway but everything was real jumpy. i restarted the computer which took about 5 minutes. Strange. I tried to burn a DVD and my computer was real slow so that didnt work. I fired up COD2 again and it restarted my computer. I put disc 1 in to uninstall and it occurred an error and didnt finish. I went to start>regedit and deleted the activision folder. The reason why your computer is so slow is because you have TO MANY different malware scanners on your machine. Pick one and then remove the rest with ad or remove programs. Also, take a look at this guide: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407
That guide is probably the best guide up that I've seen so far, so please take a look. Also, I took a look at your HjT log and didnt find snything really big, but just a few simple small things. Here they are:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\New Boundary\PrismXL\PRISMXL.SYS
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
O4 - Global Startup: BigFix.lnk = C:\Program Files\BigFix\BigFix.exe
Hope you fixes your problem!

No, your computer will not have the programs if you reformat. I would suggest putting all of your special things, like program files, etc. on a seperate hard drive, then reformat your old hard drive, and put all the files that was on your backup back on the other one. Also, try system restore points, that might help. Post back if you have any more questions!

A cooling fan going bad on you will cause the issues you are experiencing. If that is what is happening... its overheating.
Which, of course, isn't good.
