how old is the system you are trying to install this on? how much ram do you have? if you don't have a gb of ram you won't be able to do this, what you could do is go to microsoft's site and do a online check to see if your system will be up to the task, here is the link, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...&displaylang=en

I don't know if it is possible, but not having a DVD drive in these days of multi-dvd installs, and PC DVD Games is a huge set back to your pc's setup. I would suggest buying dvd drive.

Here is a Samsung Drive which will burn all formats, has lightscribe capabilities, and uses a IDE connection. $30.99 w/ free shipping

And HERE is a link to 7 drives all between $28-$38 dollars some with free shipping some without (shipping usually $3-$4). All drives can burn CD's and DVD's at multiple speeds and are manufactured by reputable companies.

All these drives are sold at http://www.newegg.com a very reputable online electronics dealer.
