when i go on halo 2 xboxlive it just sits there and doesent give a error nor sign on xbl but when i go to xbl on the MS dashboard it says some kind of "network error" the subscription i'm using is copied off my friends xbox he said i can use it cause his boxes laser is fried the subscription works on his box or at least signed him on xbl on his box but my xbox is softmodded is that why halo 2 just sits there and the ms dashboard gives an error or is it some subscription anti-piracy thing?

do u have a modded xbox if so then you have to change your ip address to the one your pc has
if not then go to net work settings and make sure they are all st to auto matic

i got it to work i resoftmodded with sid 4.0 but i was wondering can you point me in the right direction for xbox firmware so i can play backups on xbl without getting banned?

you cant play your games off the hdd on live but you can use a tunneling client like xlink kai or xbox connect just google them then download them

Yea if u had the dual-boot option of playing live and softmod then yea u could play H2

Just cold boot if u wanna play live and not get banned with soft mods
