After I did everything to downgrade my psp from 2.71 hend to 1.50, after I pressed O on the blue screen, my PSP went back to setup screen which suppose to be normal, but everytime I press a button the screen goes black for like a minute and then come back on. What do I need to do now? What did I do wrong? Do I need to reformat my memory stick to fix this?

YES. Thank you very much for replying. Inside the UMD slot it says IE1003, so I thought its got to be TA-082. So I ran HEN-D and then ran the installer to downgrade from 2.71 HEND to 1.50. In the system info it says my PSP is 1.50. But everytime I press any button on the PSP the screen goes black and then comes back on after like 30+ seconds. Would I be able to fix this if I upgrade to like say 3.02? or how can I recover.

Okay, you use the guide on how to downgrade your 2.71 TA-082

but your PSP is NON TA-082

that is what you did wrong.

I hope they'll have recovery program to repair your PSP

Ok, I unplugged the ac adaptor/charger and now it works fine. I guess after the downgrade I can't charge and play at the same time.

not really sure what ya mean. I guess yours is not TA-082 which is good. I actually brick my new PSP yesterday, I didn't know where the IE1003/TA-082 number was so I went and used the wrong downgrader and the PSP went bye-bye. I went back to EBGAMES today and got a new one, the lady there had no clue that I fiddled with the firmware. I just told her my PSP wouldn't turn on anymore and she asked how long did I charged my PSP and I said 5 hours and then she tells me that I have to charge it for 8 hours or else it might break down "LOL LMAO".

great that it works for both of us :D. Now it's time to download/rip some PS1 games :). I already pretty much used up my 1GB MS, have 2 PS1 games on there. My 4GB MS should be arriving soon. Got it for only around 50 bucks off ebay.
