Initial D special Stage Freezes with DMS4 Pro SE

I just got my PS2 Modded by dave b. He did an amazing job. All my games so far work besides this one (initial D special stage) it doesn't support optical out and when it goes into the cutscene it freezes and makes a very loud buzz and the disc is 100% tested on another ps2. Any ideas?

yea i have the same problem here.

if i skip the movie, i can get into the menus and if i speed through the menus it freezes with the loud buzzing just before the car selection screen (after the car brand selection screen)

any help/tips/advice?

so since i have a slim ps2 i copied the initial d game to a hard-drive and using a ide to usb converter i connected it to my ps2

at first it crashed my ps2 so i tried different things, what i ended up doing was getting ulaunchelf and i checked to make sure the drive was reading and then launched usb advance and it detected and i got the game to play!
