Is there a program for this? I am running 600mb of ram on idle. Its a brand new laptop. And I want more performance..anyone know?

Why does everyone persist on using msconfg to modify services or anything for that matter? I was taught never to use msconfig, instead use services.msc for services. Also, if you want to change the startup programs modify it with the programs itself. You will have a cleaner setup IMO. Am I wrong about this?
