Well If the disc is real cheap your laser has to read harder to get the data.
So in return its burning out more faster then it should.
Where as if you use good quality media your laser doesn't have to read so hard and last longer.

I'm sorry if that doesn't make much sense atm im a bit drunk lol :) .

well it looks like these dynex wont work for 360 games but do you think they will work for backing up dvd movies? so they dont go to waste

About the comment above, cheap media ruins lasers. It's not cheap (cost) media... it's cheap (quality) media which ruins lasers. But cost and quality usually run hand-in-hand.

Low quality media uses cheap dyes which will break down quicker and don't burn well. While your 360 may seem like it's reading a cheap disc just fine, the laser has to work harder to read it than if quality media was used. And the harder the laser work = shorter laser life span. This was a common problem with ps2's. This is, of course, if the disc even lasts long enough. Once the dye starts breaking down, the disc will have reading problems and eventually won't be readable at all.

If you can't return them to BB, I'd suggest using them for games which you plan on playing the story mode from start to finish, then just chucking it. I wouldn't use them for games which you plan to play online (meaning you're going to keep the disc a long time) or for movies, either.
