Ive just got my hands on a PSP with 2.5FW,
Ive got some of the Emulators to run on it with some eloader 0.995,
and for the most part it works I got My old NES games going and SNES, but Never got the Megadrive to work,
CPS1 -No Problem,
NEOGEO - Noproblem,
MegaDrive, HA! nothing,
anyway Im losing the plot,
Ive just got some ISO's and Im looking for a way of running them
Ive just tryed the UMDEmulator, and the other one, thats shown alot in Afterdawn, but neither one worked for me,
Also most of the threads seemed to be quite old, (like 2005)
so,,,
I figured Id ask and see what happens,
Can I run my ISO on 2.5 Yet ?

nope you need to downgrade your psp to 1.5,there is loads of guides on the net to do it so do a quick search :0)

lol...you should downgrade that to 1.5 and install OE-C......believe me, your life will be a whole lot easier ;)
no need for fastloader or eloader or devhook or any of that crap.....you can just drop your games straight to the "GAME/GAME150/GAME303" dir. or the "ISO" dir.

Ah Kool,
Thanks Guys,
I was still under the inpression that Downgrading made the PSP turn very Brick like, and I dont really wanna do that :-)

eh....idk about that...i used the gta-lcs hack to get from 3.03 to 150 no problem, its just when i started trying to install stuff to the flash0 that my psp started semi-bricking.....
I figure anything you do to the psp could endanger it, hell ive seen xflash crash some psps......its up to you mate... but remember, if you go to OE-C:
no need for an emulator or devhook

You need to tell me more about this OE-C, ??
Ive run my Emulators on the PSP, and it doest Crash from time to time, have to pull the battery out to get it back but thats all,
Is the OE-C software ? or what ?

basically its like putting FW 3.03 & 1.50 into a mixing bowl and coming out with some tasty batter... :P
you will be able to play homebrews, psx, all kinds of rom emulators (atari, nes, snes), you can have your own custom icons, change the fonts, change the text under every icon........
real talk, anything you want to do to your PSP can be achieved through OE-C...

Holy pants, that sound much better than Downgrading,
Ive also just found a program called DownDater then says it can do it,
but Upgrading to 0E-C would Rule, Image my PSP owning friends if I could wave that at thier Brick Fearing Faces, lol

in-fact the image in my sig is a pretty good example of gameboot customization and iso emulation (app-free) in OE-C...
ill tell you brother, OE-C is starting to become the new "golden firmware" in my opinion, and the opinions of many others...

Check out Hex's Winstallers....this will definately be the quickest way to get OE-C on your psp.... ***And safer than doing it manually***

Firstly I assume Ive gotta get my PSP to 3.03 first,
then update to 0E-C,
and once it works I will be telling EVERYONE I know who owns a PSP,
currently thats er... 1+1, and 2+1,Carry the 1,
ah yes, another 4 ppl, maybe 5 if another of my friends goes for it, and then maybe 6 if I tell myself in a mirror..

lol....as far as i know mate, youve got to have 150 to install OE-C...
so downgrading is necissary...but depending on the firmware you are at currently, and the method which you planned to use to downgrade...the process can be fast or long and menial.....

I used the GTA-LCS method....pretty simple, if you have a proper GTA-LCS *unpatched disc* then get the downgrader (easy) and then run hex's winstaller....

Onto the Next problem then,
Ive got the Downdater, Ive got the 0E-C,
but the Downdater needs 1.5 files, where the F. can I get that, Ive never met anyone that has a PSP lower than 2
Argh!

non of the guides and Eboots Ive found tally up,
all so fat say YES 2.5 >1.5
but in the info all it talks about is 2.6 or 2.7

ARGH!
I think Im going insane,
the downgraders Ive found
show 2.50 > 1.50 or 1.00
but when I get the Files, the tutorial in it, only talks about going from 2.6 > 1.5,

im assuming that the procedure would be similar...but then again....ive never had 2.50.......so, idk ill search around in a lil bit....im sure that it can be done easy status...no worries

So, I spend almost al night looking around, and Ive found a NEW trouble, most guides require GTA:LCS, and I aint got that IVe got an Eloader, but thats all,
does anyone know if I can upgrade my 2.5 to another FWare, to make a D/grade easier ?

goto 2.71 then use the easy downgrader to get to 1.5,make sure to read up on it first tho
