Ok tell me if im doing something wrong (using Gameshark2)

This is what i did

First i put in my gameshark with the mem card that came with it
then i went to select game the game i used was Resident Evil 4
so then i put in the codes like this i put the names for it like unlimited health, and other crap like that, then i enter the codes where it said 000000 000000 since there were 7 lines of values for it i entered all of them in, and the master code,so when i put in my game the screen turns black and stays like that, but when i take out the master code i can play the game but without the cheats, what am i doing wrongÉ
