Merging a image with dmi and pfi files?

Hello,

I have a DVD image of a game which already has ss included.

I'd like to add the dmi. and pfi. files which i downloaded separately.

I've already tried ss merger and xbox backup creator but i don't think they can do it like this.Any ideas?

two programs can do it. The newest version of Xbox Backup Creator. And Schtrom. both of which you can get online.
i know when i did it with Schtrom, you had to rename the ISO file so it had an extension of 000 instead of ISO.
make sure your folder options show the full path first by doing this:
go into the folder with the DVD and ISO file
then go to TOOLS->FOLDER OPTIONS and check the box beside show hiden files and make sure hide extensions of known file types does not have a check mark. then it should show the full file path like game.ISO
rename it by choosing rename with a right click, then move the cursor to the end of the name and backspace until ISO is gone, then replace that with 000 (zero not the letter O)

the rest i forget as i am not at a system that has Schtrom on it to walk you through the rest.

But if you have a Samsung drive with the newest firmware (Xtreme52) you really do not need to do this as it auto patches those files.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I have a Hitachi drive with GaryOPA firmware.That's why i make my backups like this.

The image came with a DVD file and a 000 file like you said so i don't have to convert a iso.

The image has SS included in it, so now could i merge the 000 file with the dmi. and pfi. files in the program you mention "Schtrom".

I've already tried doing it in Xbox backup creator V2.3 unless theres newer than this.

I'll try Schtrom and see what happens.

Okay,

I have tried Schtrom V3.1

I go to Tools and then Image Inject/Extract.It's set up as follows:

Image name: I loaded the IMAGE.000 file here

Task:Extract/Inject, I chose Inject

and then, drop down menu and i select pfi.bin/dmi.bin

File to inject:I load the pfi or dmi file

click start ............. and NO VALID XBOX IMAGE comes up!!!

Okay, I upgraded to v2.4 of Xbox backup creator and v3.2 of Schtrom and it worked!!!
