Vista and DVD Backup Question "Whats run as Administrator mean?"

I have vista and I want to back up some of my dvds and my question is when I go to use my DVD Xcopy 4 it tells me to run the program as Administrator, what does this mean? It wont let me make a backup of anything... The back up's are really for my own personal use from my own origional disks. I have 3 young kids and they ruin about a disk a week... Throwning them , using them to eat on, drawing on them ....etc.etc.etc....... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right click the execution file (exe) that starts the program, go to Properties. Locate, and check the box to run as Admin.
