I was just wondering why even the smallest scratch on a ps2 provides you with horrible back-ups?

if this is any help:
I'm using memorex 16x DVD+R
and my burner is an lg 16x

oh yeah I am using swap magic 3.3

and I also am having problems with urban chaos i burnt it and was having no problems until i got up to about the 7th level then the sound started screwing up and repeating itself and what not. I have no idea what to do need help.

You should NEVER use Memorex DVDs at all they are the worst disc you can get...it not good for the PS2 Laser and it doesnt read the disc properly...you should be using DVDs such as Maxell or Sony DVD-R

damn that sucks i just bought like a hundred of them. It doesn't screw up for all my backups thought like final fantasy 12 works and same with destroy all humans 2. why is that?

and if i get those other brands will it backup scratched discs? And my urban chaos backup was on maxell DVD+R 8x
