I have 3.03OE-C and I have all my UMD games on my 4 Gig mem stick and everything is running great but when I loaded my Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror it shows the preview of the game and loads but then just sits at a black screen with the power lite on. Nothing happens...it doesn't shutdown and it doesn't load anything. After I turn it off it boots just fine...I have re-ripped and everything I even tried downloading a different copy and I get the same affect...been reading a lot of forums to no prevail. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Tried this?

Turn off PSP
Hold "R" When turning on
Goto configuration
Disable "Use No UMD"
Restart
Insert UMD Game into drive (ANY game)
Run ISO

I have messed with the config settings and still nothing...all other ISO's work but when Syphon Filter Loads it just sits at a black screen. I have tried kernal 1.5 and kernal 3.03 would that make any kind of difference? I really appreciate your time and thoughts on this..thank you ARC!

Nah kernel is for homebrew only, have you tried setting the CPU speed to 300mhz then running it?

XMB is at 300
UMD/ISO is at 333 should I change it to 300 all around?

XMB never needs to be higher than default, it just wastes battery

Thats stumped me that has.....i did a bit of googleing but found nada

My best advice is to bump this topic daily, see if anyone else has had the same problem

Have you tired JUST syphon filter on the MS?

haha...ya I am special....ya I have MGS-Port ops, Ace Combat X, Sid meiers Pirates, Rocky and Sonic Rivals. Everything works fine even homebrew just this one game doesn't load....thats why I am so confused...hmmm

Yea take em all off and try it, ive seen this sort of problem with fake Memory sticks sold on eBay, data stored on the second half of the card produces loads of errors.

Im not saying yours is fake but i just want to rule out a faulty MS

all set...I am formating and then trying to load it again. We shall see what happens.....Yup it still only shows the preview and then sits at a blank screen...really weird...I guess I'll just keep messing with it and see what I can do...very interesting.
