how do I add recovery mode to my 3.03 oec

Hey, I am a complete noob, never saw a psp in my life before today, and managed to downgrade my firmware from 3.03 to 1.5 then to 3.03 oec. Next up I need to figure out how to use ISO's etc, which I will do by searching here. From what I gather I'm going to need to be able to go into recovery mode. When I turn on my PSP and hold R it just turns on like normal. I looked for this Recovery folder where a few posts said it should be. Not there. How can I get it?

u either dont have 3.03 OE-C....or ur not turning ur psp all the way off, and just putting into sleep mode.

well, my system settings say I'm using 3.03 oe-c, and I'm pretty sure I'm shutting it off completely.. I also don't have the game150 folder that the emulator sites say I need to put the files in... ???

well are u holding the power buttom up for 3-5 secs until it shuts off....or just flicking it up then releasing?

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread but I did the same thing as you.
I downgraded to 1.5 and then went to 3.03 OE-C.I put a folder in the
root menu and called it "ISO".I put the game iso in there butthey won't run.I get THe game could not be started 80020321.Not sure what
I'm doing wrong.

O.K I found my answer I had to put a game into the drive.I got my first game to work (SSX on tour)
Turn off PSP
Hold "R" When turning on
Goto configuration
Disable "Use No UMD"
Restart
Insert UMD Game into drive (ANY game)
Run ISO
Be happy

u have to hold the off switch up for about 10sec then wait 5sec then trn it on and press the R trigger , or take your battery out then put it back in and turn your psp on holding the trigger

hey, looks like it was really a simple issue of not knowing how to turn off my psp. I still don't see the game 150 folders people are talking about
