does anyone have any idea why my DVD Shrink would freeze up and not work? i used to be able to burn dvds by simply inserting the dvd into my comp and burning it with shrink. now it freezes up or said it has encounterd a problem. i am not sure what is going on??? any ideas what i can do to make this dvd burning process easier?

More than likely the heavier copy protections being used by the studios nowadays. The free RipIt4Me has been doing a good job of bypassing the newer protections (as well as the older ones).

You have to have the latest versions of DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter installed.
Or check out the all in one installer for the complete package. The versioin of Shrink in the AIO supports ImgBurn instead of Decrypter for burning.
