Ok. I have used this guide to burn my AVI into a DVD
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/avi_to_dvd_avi2dvd.cfm

Everything works out fine, quality is fine, how the program works is fine BUT

There are few times during the movie the DVD stops for about 1 second then keeps going, does it about 5 times durring the whole movie, doesnt sound like much trouble but it gets annoying after a while.

What could be the problem?

Information about what I do:
I encode using HCEnc, using the BEST quality
I have tried to burn my DVD with 2 different programs and still the same
The movie seem to play ok on the computer but it seems the quality on computer is worse than when I play on TV
(the other regular movies work fine on my DVD player)
I have 500 MB of ram
I have a crappy Intel graphics card thats built into the comp

mmm thats about it, i thought i might provide as much info as possible so there will be no other questions

So if anyone know what the problem is, please let me know, Maybe I should use different encodings? but what ones? I have no idea what they are or what they do. Thanks.

Is that the type of DVD discs? Do dvd discs really make much difference?

I'm using Memorex 16x DVD-R discs
