Hello friends !

Again, I need your help here.. I don't know what is wrong with my PSP or incorrect way of update..

http://www.psp-vault.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-14.psp

I followed step by step instruction above and I am still not able to update from 2.6 to 2.71 .. it does not downgrade for me..
there is no eboot for downgrade 2.6 to 1.5..My PSP is code # IC1003 = TA-082 PSP version..

I tried both update firmware 2.71 and 3.03
copy files into memory stick PSP/GAME/UPDATE.... select Game icon the n press X .. message showed "CORRUPTED DATA"...

so what should I do now? What is my next step???
Thanks

It's easier to upgrade ur fw to normal 2.71 http://dl.qj.net/Firmware-2.71-PSP/pg/12/fid/8046/catid/163

Then u find a ta-082 downgrader for the 2.71

yes, I followed the instruction carefully..

Here is the exact folder I placed the firmware.

Fresh format the DUO memory stick..

M:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE\EBOOT.PBP (I am not USB cable..use PC media card reader..(would make any different right?)

then it showed error..."Corrupted Data"..

Crap it is frustrated.. I also tried update 2.6 to 3.03 and it showed the same message..

Help help please

I have the EXACT same problem! I even tried the rename bit this last guy suggested. I wonder if there is anyone out there that knows enough of the PSP to help a couple of STARVING deprived gamers!...lots of pleading and begging to commence...PLEASE! PLEASE!..OK that's enough....

Yo! I found out an answer that worked! You need to take all the numbers off the front of the EBOOT. Remove the numbers and then try. Good luck!

Nigels1 edit your post and the file name needs to be eboot not 8046_EBOOT.PBP (like this PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP)

Hello Friend !

I just got my PSP back from Sony for service the Brick PSP..

I update firmware to 2.71 and downgrade to 1.5 and PSP bricked.

Send to sony for System recovery and electrical alignment..no charge..
They update the firmware to 3.1..

Do you take any change to downgrade from 3.1 to 1.5 again?

Does anyone try to downgrade from 3.1 to 1.5 sucessfully?

Please share

How the heck do you manage to brick your PSP? It pretty much never happens if you follow the readme's.

And im assuming instead of 3.1 you mean 3.11? No you cannot downgrade 3.11 yet. But you probably can within the next few months when a new downgrader comes out.

I sent to Sony to fix the brick..

The report from Sony said System Recovery and update the latest firmware 3.1, not 3.11..

My question is.. from Sony 3.1 can downgrade to 1.5...

Thanks

Well if you have 3.01 then you upgrade to 3.03 and downgrade, but if its 3.11 then you can't downgrade. And how did you manage to brick in the first place.

YES! this totally worked.

i was nervous because i just went to target and bought a random psp hopin to get an older one (for fear of having to buy vice city stories to downgrade) and i got a version 2.6!

this guide did the job to get me to 2.71. thanks a bunch!
