Do NOT update through official sony firmware.

DO, do some searching in the stickies of this forum, and you'll find your answer.

I dont personally feel I have the adequate knowledge to fully help ya out.

But first what you want to check, is if your PSP is a TA-082.

If yours is infact NOT a TA-082, I can definitely help you out.

Here's a link how to check. Let me know.

There is writing in gold letters on the left side of the PSP motherboard and none on the right, but its hard to even see the letters/numbers tbh so i couldn't tell you what it says.

looks like l000l though.. or something lol.. can yah help me static? thanks

I guess this means its not a TA- motherboard correct?

It appears you do not have a TA-082 MB.

Please, do not take my word for it, and do some more research before attempting anything. Here is what I did.

1. Upgraded my PSP to 2.71 using the Firmware (from PSP-hacks.com) http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/525

2. Used the 2.71--->1.5 downgrade (Also found on PSP-hacks.com) http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/752

3. Used HEXITNOW's Winstaller (found stickied at the top of this forum) to bring me from 1.5 ----->3.03OE

Thanks static.

Surely the 2.71 firmware is the official sony firmware and should work regardless?

If i follow the instructions step by step it should work right?

Is there anybody else you know of that has used the method you used to get their PSP's onto 3.03?

Thanks again!

EDIT:

2.71 installed without any errors.

Upgraded to 2.71 succesfully.

Upgraded to 3.10oe-a succesfully.

So easy..

Thanks static!
