Well, even if you follow all the instructions, you will risk a chance of "bricking" your psp, cause it's flashing your flash memory, and doing that could always result in something wrong, so ya there is not 0% no brick, its more of a 2 - 5% thing, that's why there is always warning labels telling use that we are using the downgrader at our own risk.
