I think they already hacked the firmware so it shouldnt be long anymore. Im lookin for updates everyday!

Well, since TA-082's and FW 3.11 was decrypted, expect a downgrader very soon...

I think if Sony decides to go to 3.20 or something, i think thats when the new downgrader will come out. Thats if theres not 3.12 or 3.13. I think 3.10 or 3.11 will have a downgrader. Mostly 3.10 though since theres already a custom FW for it. Right now i would say buy a used PSP. Best luck for getting HEN and downgrading.

andit's amazing that dark alex's group do it for free.. how generous. though they are accepting donations, but still they are kind hearted :D

Don't know how true this is but i heard that dark alex actually hacked the 3.11FW but he isn't realeasing it yet because it's pointless since the only thing that changed from 3.10 and 3.11 is the upgraded security.
Not saying this is true because DA has been pretty consistent with his releases. So if anyone knows if theres any truth behind this let it be known.

To be honest, I am also one of the many who had updated my brand new psp. I never know about all this at first thus updated it. But let us hope that it will come out soon so that we can all enjoy the games.

you still need it to get it into 3.03oe-c before recovering it. not updating to 3.03oe-c.

3.10 OE is a custom frimware, wether you updated from any of the 3.03 OE's or 1.50. And i think 2.71 Custom firmwares also.
It all starts at 1.5.

uhm actually, it's any firmware that can play iso/psx that doesn't need the use of a loader. it is mostly tagged w/ an "OE" right after the firmware version. and the most popular are 3.03oe-c and 3.10-oe-a. i don't think that there's a 2.71 custom firmware but correct me if i'm wrong. and 1.5 is the basis of all the upgrades into a custom firmware. :)

I am really new to firmwares but i realize i have done a huuuuge mistake, I upgraded to 3.11 about last week. When the 3.11 downgrader comes out, is it easy to downgrade the psp? What is the 3.11 decrypter? do i need that to downgrade also? can someone tell me the basic steps i need to do when the 3.11 downgrader comes out?

You don't need the decrypter at all. Hackers like DAX use decrypters to hack the PSP's firmware code (stop me if I'm wrong.) All you need is a program that downgrades your firmware version all the way to 1.5 (the second-most primitive version). After that, it's on to the promised land of FW 3.XX Open-Edition-X!
BTW, one of Sony's people has said that they've kept their eye on the homebrew community, and that the next firmware update may give you the ability to use homebrew. I may be wrong, I may be mis-quoting, which I frequently do with news I see only one time.
