If what you said is true, then in the future we can use homebrew software with downgrading? and is playing downloaded games possible?
but again, i doubt Sony will be that nice to come out with a firmware to allow us to play downloaded games and use most of the homebrew softwares. After all, they want to make money and by doing this they will lose money. That is what I think.

so when the 3.11 downgrader comes out, it will downgrade the psp from 3.11 to 1.5? and from that point i can upgrade back to a custom firmware version? correct? thanks(so i dont need to do anything with decrypters-only psp hackers use them to mess with the sony FW,right?)

Downgrading is one thing, upgrading to custom firmwares still has a small chance.
I think downgrading brick rate is like 8% or something of not being succesful. 100% if you don't know what your doing. I used a Winstaller to downgrade, and update to 3.03 OE-C, thx to hex.
Winstaller puts all of the right files in the right place for you, they are really awesome and great for noobs.
Expect a downgrader soon :).

As far as I know, DAX's custom firmware allows you to do that, with his EXCLUSIVE Recovery Mode. I myself have to ask how to use that feature, because I have to think that if I brick my PSP I wouldn't be able to turn it on at all anymore.

not really but kinda is a must have. with custom firmware you can play ps1 games, play games without devhook and etc. but in 1.5 youll need devhook and no way to play ps1 games...make sure once you get a 1.5 psp upgrade to 3.03oe - c or 3.10 oe-a

I dunno... I tried to download the Chip-8 emulator made by Zion that I got from qj.net (Dreamchip), and I can't get it to work, so you may need to have custom firmware to run any emulator/download.

i am abit confused now. Correct me if i am wrong.
Steps 1: Downgrade your firmware to version 1.5
Step 2: Upgrade your 1.5 psp to 3.03oe - c or 3.10 oe-a
Step 3: with the custom firmware update you are able to play ps1 games and other games too
Is that correct?
Another question in mind. Since ps1 games can be played on psp. Can we play ps2 games also?

yes it is correct. but you need to wait till the 3.11 downgrader is released.
playing ps2 games is still debatable but is possible. psp's clock and graphics is more powerful than that of the ps2's

ok look there not going to make a 3.11 downgrader because of a line of code they made in to it that will force the system to brick if you mess w/ the fermware

first of all, learn to spell. secondly, the firmware has already been decrypted. lastly, they have made downgraders for all the previous versions, why stop now?

That's because you're an army of one. Dark_AleX has a large team behind him to make his work easier. Not sure what they do exactly, but I'm sure there's a group to decode, a group to test code, and a group to seek out exploits, most likely to get around that line of code that you speak of.
Which means that a downgrader is more than likely improbable, NOT impossible.
And I DID surf the web for the info I just spelled out in a nutshell, just in case you wonder how a noob like me is able to make such statements. Look up Dark_AleX, Fanjita, Team noobZ, and Team C+D.

It's not a matter of being able to convert them, its more so being able to emulate them on the PSP. The reason why the PSP game's graphics are the way they are is because there using the PSP's default CPU/GPU speed. If Sony would make all PSP's run at 333/166 then a lot more of the games would run faster. But you can do it yourself with the custom firmwares and Devhook.
