what do u guys mean by locking the disk try back up?
I am having similiar problem i cannot get back up dvd to work.
what are recommended media to use for dvd video games for example what dvds like dvd +r or -r what speed for the dvd i have dvd +r 16x
and how to i get the dvd encyrption thing u guys are talking about?

locking the tray comes in play when you are using the slide card. You make your swap and then have to use the slide card to lock the tray back in its original position.

dvd decrypter is a free program that a lot of people use to read/burn ps2 games. if you wan't it, search google.

recommended media- HIGH quality discs. Stuff to stay away from- Memorex, princo, any store brand. High quality discs include Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden (TY), and sony. Usually people recommend half speed when burning (so for 16x discs, burn at 8x)
