my backup games play fine on my samsung drive but not working on my friend xbox360 with hitachi drive.can anybody help with that?

Verbatim DVD+R DL and 4x burning speed will fix it.

I use Verbatim but the speed I use was 2.4x.

Mines plays fine on Samsung's and Hitachi's using Verbatim DVD+R DL burn speed 2.4X

it may have to do with the way that you burn the game if you didnt set the booktype/bitsetting to DVD-ROM before burning.this is a problem with hitachi drives
put the dvd in your drive open imgburn and wait until imgburn detects the dvd, look for Physical Format Information (Last Recorded)next to booktype if it says DVD+R DL ,then that could be the problem it must be burned as dvd-rom to work in hitachi drives

You have to go into the settings in ImgBurn and change it to burn DVD+R DL as DVD-ROM. Once a disk is burned you cannot change the booktype, so it must be set to DVD-ROM before you burn the disk.

click that and pick your drive make and then set the dual layer to dvd-rom

ok,I change the booktype DVD+R DL to DVD-ROM,burned at 4x speed on Verbatim.Play ok on samsung but no go on hitachi.Don't know what else I can do.Pleessseee help.

are you sure that your friend xbox360 drive is flashed ,does he have any working backups?
did you do the stealth check to the iso with Xbox Backup Creator?
to work with a hitachi drive it needs to pass all the tests
video,pfi, dmi,security sector
to work with a samsung drive i think but i'm not sure that only needs to pass the video and the security sector test

yes its flashed.man who flashed the xbox give me couple of backups and they work ok.Its just games what I burned that don't play on his console.But they play well on 2 xbox with samsungs drives.
