I was experimenting with Vob Blanker and having a heck of a time figuring out how to cut the preview and warnings out. I just want the menu and movie only. I followed alkohols guide. I selected vts_01 and processed it. It did run but the final product did not cut it. IS this the only app that can cut the previews out and warnings? Can shrink do it? Thanks

with shrink use the "re-author" option. select only the parts you want (i.e. do not select the previews, etc.), the use the crop/cut/edit on the main movie to remove the warning from the beginning... unfortunately shrink in re-author will NOT produce the menu... you can do it with VobBlanker, but it will take a bit more reading the tutorials and hands-on work...

I have trouble with Vob Blanker on Casino Royale. It keeps giving me the error message of "Max VTS of 99 reached" and will not continue. I had the original file recoded using DVD Decrypter and then asked Vob Blanker to take out the commercials, but it won't work. Can you help?? Thanks!

i'm not an expert on VobBlanker. i think the tutorials are pretty straight forward... if a bit complex. not sure what that error message means, but i would suggest that instead of using dvddecrypter (not updated in a long long time), that you use either dvdfabdecrypter or ripit4me (see download urls below). then using shrink in "re-author" you can delete the previews/trailers. again, you will not have a menu... but with "casino royale", if i recall (it was yesterday that i backed it up...) there are no special features at all on the disk, only the movie anyway.

Well, I ended up using Nero Recode to read and create an image file, then using the same to burn it on disc. But then I wasn't able to take out all the commercials and warning stuff, therefore the end product has a poor quality and not as good as being able to Blank them with Vob Blanker.
Never use dvdfabdecrypter before, I hope it is very easy to use and pretty user friendly. Thanks anyway!!

This is because you have the older version of VOBB. I had the latest VOBB when Saw 3 came out (with all its new encryptions) and it was giving EVERY program problems. After about a day, all those programs updated themselves to resolve these problems. VOBB was included in that update.
I'm unaware if VOBB has upgraded again but I know that when they released the beta version that I'm using (check my sig), it worked for Saw 3. And, obviously, it has worked on every other movie since--including Casino Royale. Just download the newer version of VOBB and you'll be fine.

I know the screen is black but trust me there is a warning there

I know the screen is black but trust me there is a warning there

Now let me warn u that the warnings are going to be in different places with each dvd, plus to do any of the new sony movies u have to use the beta versions.
Also, i believe there was a MPAA rating screen in VTS_06
@ Ninja49,
Yeah, Mr.Pink is right, here is a link for Beta8 which will work with all the new sony movies out.

Mr Pink, you mentioned that all program had an update that came out day after Casion Royale. Is there a web site where I can download updates for these programs? Pray tell, thanks!!

I know AnyDVD was updated).
Anyway, yes, like 300 said, just search google for whatever program you're looking for. Lots of members here have program websites listed in their signatures. I'm quite certain one or two guys in this particular thread have the links in their signature (if not this Casino Royale thread, then another).

not that it really matters, but people have posted several "quotes" as follows:
"Originally posted by surfgeo:

It WASN'T me who posted that. not sure how that transposition happened. fortunately for me all my backup software is working perfectly and without any glitches since "running with scissors".

I was also having an error trying to open Casino Royal with DVD Shrink. But I found some solutions on the AnyDVD forums. Apparently there are a few movies that cannot be opened by DVD Shrink because it can't manage the DVD structures in the files.
So in this post there are a few solutions listed. I'm trying those now, since the error I received was a bit different than those mentioned in this thread and I don't want to install a bunch of new software.
Hope that helps somebody!
