i think i lost my xbox live files when i softmoded

ok i softmoded my xbox a couple years ago and i think i might of deleted my xbox live files. recently i put the old microsoft dashboard on wanting to play online and when i went to xbox live it freezes(memory,audio, and settings all work). And when i try signing in on my accout in halo 2(i made an accout on my friend system and used a memory card to tranfer it)nothing happens and when i try to regester a new accout it takes me to error 21. So what r the files on a xbox am i missing for xbox live? Any ideas?
