Hi All,

I recently purchased a modded xbox with evolution x on it and a few games.

I am wondering, is there anyway to use this xbox to play Halo 2 on XBox Live (not free networks) without getting banned, whether playing with evox on system or somehow reverting to an acceptable setup for playing on the subscription service?

Any help is much appreciated here. I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy a separate xbox console just so I can play Halo 2 online with the ranking and all.

It actually depends on what installer was used or if dual boot was selected. You said it was pre-modded?

Yeah, it was pre-modded. Can any of that info be found from the system data menu? If not I can get in touch with the guy who modded it.

Yes, you should get in contact with him and ask him what installer he used and If he selected dual boot. (many installers come with dual boot automatically installed though)

if you start the xbox with a game in and it loads the mod dash then its not dual boot

yea to get on xbl with a dual boot xbox just start it with the game in the drive and you can go on xbl but you will first have to put your account on the xbox by starting the xbox with the eject button and waiting till it boots to ms dash then go to gemertag recovery or create new gamertag
