what software do i need to convert movies to psp.

Well u can use DVD Decrypter to decrypt you movies then use Auto GK to encode to AVI finally use Xillisoft to convert then to PSP format
you kind of long process
maybe the ripper can do it

have to rename the file to M4V12345(example)
then copy to the sub folder of the MP_Root folder

M4V?!
As in the MPEG4-SP codec... 3 steps to create a movie... not at all!

Convert to X264/AVC 480x272 res, much smaller file sizes and alot better quality.
Have alook here read it carefully and download and install what you need.
If you have any problems with it, take alook at this thread some people seem to have problems with it, but ave never had any trouble.
Alot of the time theres too many codecs on their machines and they conflict.

AVC doesnt work on 1.5....and secondly the m4v is the filename u have to use for the psp to recognize it, unless u have 3.0+

Who mentioned anything about 1.50?
MPEG4-SP(M4V) is a lower class codec than MPEG4-AVC(MAQ)
It was 2.8+ when the particular file names where dropped.
