wrap it in a towel and turn it on, let it run for 10 minutes, turn it off, take the towel off and let it cool for 15 minutes, and then turn it on, make sure you dont forget it, it should heat the solder and melt it back they way it should be, most 3 red lights is caused from overheating in some way...

you can take a heat gun and warm up everything really well and that will do some good...

mikeismad,
Have you personal tried this method?
I never thought my 360 would ever overheat, is this soldering thing caused by overheating. Also I heard it is bad to have the 360 vertical. I never really played too much until I got the firmware done and never had much of a chance to play after because of the 3 red lights. Is the red lights caused by heating or by doing the firmware?
